Lou Allen Reed, born on Long Island to a family of middle class and suburban. He had an unconventional attitude and sexually ambiguous behavior. He went to the mental hospital during his teen years enduring in mental hospital yet he survived through the years and continued on his music career.
During the 60's era, he himself has been one the most ambitious songwriters among rock and roll artists. During 1968, he formed Velvet Underground with their first album, "VELVET UNDERGROUND AND NICO" which sold a few thousand copies but people who bought it formed a band. His songs were covered by different artists: R.E.M., Mick Ronson, Echo and The BunnyMen, David Bowie, etc.
